Disney MGM Studios - Lights, Camera, Action! Epic Stunt Spectacular (finale sequence)

Here is a video I shot of the final sequence of the Disney MGM Studios stunt show "Lights, Camera, Action - Epic Stunt Spectacular." This show originated at Disneyland Paris and was brought to Orlando last year (in 2006). This is a fast-paced show that focuses on making a stunt movie. The cast presents several different stunts and then show the replays, revealing the secrets of the trade and letting the audience enjoy the live action in front of them. This is a must see attraction when visiting Orlando, Florida and the Disney World attractions!

Disney's Dancing Holiday Lights to Jingle Bells

Here is a video we took at the Disney MGM Studios Osbourne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights to the music of the Jingle Bells (a very upbeat version). This will truly put you into the holiday spirit if nothing else will! Check out my other blog posting with The Nutcracker Suite as well!

Disney MGM Spectacle of Dancing Lights

Today our family visited the Disney MGM Studios in Orlando, Florida and enjoyed one of the best events of the year - the Osbourne Family (originally from Arkansas and relocated to Disney MGM Studios several years ago) Spectacle of Dancing Lights. What a treat! This is highly recommended for everyone who wants to enjoy the holiday season or get thrust into the spirit. I will include some pictures we took and later add some video we also shot - enjoy as always!

Boredom while waiting...

As my son and I sit here in the monotonous and tedious world of waiting for our loved ones, we enjoy our shared hobby of people watching. More specifically, we enjoy watching Disney cast members. We use our minds to understand the intricacies of the Disney employee work plan. Day and night various Disney employees from all over the Disney / MGM Studios park walk past the bench we currently find ourselves perched upon. Where is this haven for Disney employee watching you ask? See if you can guess...

Enchanted lives up to it's name!

This movie is a real treat that crosses many genres. For those of you who are die hard Disney fanatics, you will enjoy finding the hidden references and characters to from other Disney live action and animated movies in the past. The characters were well cast, especially Giselle who brings the ridiculousness of animated fairy tales to a real world. The movie would have been fantastic in my book if the final skyscraper scene had been edited, however this scene did not make the movie end on a downer. This is a definite Go See for everyone - I hope you will enjoy as much as my family!

Happy Thanksgiving! (Click on the Turkey)

Happy Thanksgiving to all our family and friends. Jonathan and I created this fun animation piece - all you need to do is click on the animated Turkey above and laugh! We are thankful for all of you!

Bartlett the Pirate - BEWARE!

This was too funny not to share. We were at the Food and Wine Festival held each year at Disney's EPCOT Center in Orlando, Florida. One of the countries had this stand-up for pictures and Jonathan raced toward it. The result it the picture you see - Bartlett the Pirate.

Fun at ViralTags - Click for Motion!

Here is a fun website that was recommended by a friend. You can create fun GIF animations for use on your blog, website, MySpace page, etc. Try clicking on one of the pictures above and see how it moves! I suggest you email the picture to yourself and then save to your computer before posting - that way you are not passing along the permanent link and it is treated as a true GIF image. I also suggest you find a picture of yourself that is a bit brighter in coloring - the football picture here was with a darker headshot then the other two - you can see the difference. Here are a few fun pics I created.

Golfing with David

Last Sunday I had the greatest pleasure in the world, to take my son David golfing. We first went to church, had lunch and then drove very quickly to the course for our early afternoon tee time. It was a beautiful day for golfing with very few out on the course - all we could figure was that everyone had left town for the Thanksgiving Holiday and left the course for us. Needless to say, everything was perfect - especially the chance to spend some quality time with my oldest son. It was a memory I will cherish forever. Here is a picture of the 9th hole on the South Course at Pine Oaks in Ocala as we finished the day. Thanks David for the memory and fun!

Jonathan Scores a Goal!

True excitement came to the Leppert family last Saturday as The Spotboy (Jonathan) played his final game of soccer for the season. It was a bit chilly, but perfect weather for playing. I had made a promise to Jonathan at the beginning of last season that if he scored a goal - I would purchase him something special as a reward. Well, last season came and went without a goal. When this season started, he asked if the deal still was there - I confirmed. We went through the entire season, till the last game, and last Saturday Jonathan scored his first goal! Dad, Mema and the whole family jumped to our feet and screamed at the top of our lungs, what a celebration. Here is a picture of Jonathan and his coach, Ken Ausley, to remember the day. He is holding his trophy for the great season of soccer!

The Holidays Hit Home!

Well, the day after Thanksgiving usually brings lots of excitement at the Leppert home. We don't normally wake up for all the Black Friday madness - instead we wake as we see fit, do a little work around the house, and then get down the Christmas Decorations from the Attic. It seems like each year there are more and more boxes. This year we found an extra box that we purchased last year and kinda forgot about - a new Christmas tree! When the box came down we remembered purchasing the tree at the end of the season last year, but didn't really remember much about it. As the tree was set up, we were surprised to find that it was taller, narrower and already lit - a 3x dream come true. In addition, it came with other larger bulbs that screwed into many of the branches - Sarah and the kids were in heaven and it looks great. Here is a peek at the new tree with a very few ornaments on it, put up in a fraction of the time!

I bet you can't say this three times fast!

I found this picture while watching the uploads at
http://play.blogger.com/ and couldn't resist reposting it to my blog.
Try saying it's name 3x fast! I did some research and found that this lake is located in Massachusetts and has an alternate name of Lake Webster. Here is some more info about the lake I found...

Name: Lake Chaubunagungamaug (official name), Lake Webster (local name), Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg (Guinness Book Listing)
Class: Lake
Size: 3 mi long and 1 mi wide
History: According to Wise Owl, chief of the Chaubunagungamaug band of Nipmucks, Chargoggagoggmanchauggauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg is an Indian word for a neutral fishing place near a boundary, or a meeting and fishing spot shared by several Indian tribes. The name translates loosely as either "the boundary lake" or "You fish on your side, I fish on my side, nobody fishes in the middle." In 1642, Woodward and Saffery, the first surveyors of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, called it "The Great Pond." In 1645, Connecticut Governor John Winthrop called it "The Lakes of Quabage." In a 1707 survey, John Chandler recorded the name as "Chaubunnagungamoug."
Description: Located just east of the community of Webster in the Town of Webster. According to the Guinness Book of Records, the name Chargoggagoggmanchauggauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg is the fifth longest word in the world and the longest lake name anywhere (The Boston Globe, 1992). The lake is comprised of three ponds joined by two narrow channels.

I bet that was more than you ever wanted to know :)

Tom Rhodes Benefit for Laura Rhodes at Bonkerz

Here are some pictures sent to me by my friend Jim Webster. These are from the Tom Rhodes comedy benefit for his sister Laura Rhodes. This took place at Bonkerz Comedy Club at the Holiday Inn in Altamonte Springs, Florida and was a great time. My pals Tommy Crosby and John Cervellera drove down to the benefit with me and we met up with many of my High School pals from years past. In the first picture you see Tom Rhodes on stage, the guy in front of him in the green shirt is Tom’s dad. The other picture is a group of my High School pals, from left to right are: Ronnie Perkins, John Forrester, Jim Webster, Tom Rhodes, Mark Wingenfeld, Kenny Preuss and Scott Townes. Unfortunately Tommy, John and I had to split right after the show and I didn’t get in the picture – thanks for sending Jim!

Fun at EPCOT's Test Track

On Sunday, November 3, 2007, our family went to EPCOT with Mema Leppert. Everyone wanted to have Mema ride Test Track and she agreed. Here is the excitement of the whole crew as we rode – what a day to remember!
